Quality Statement
At Universal Machine & Engineering Corporation (UMEC) each and every employee
understands that the customer is the single most important element of our business.
Our employees know this because it is stressed in our "Customer is" posters and
Quality Policy. Customer Satisfaction Data is also tracked using Customer surveys.
Letters of recommendation from satisfied customers are kept on file.
Our quality reputation can be enhanced only by providing our customers with the
products they need, shipped on schedule, manufactured correctly, at a fair market
price. We need to satisfy all of our customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requirements are reviewed during the quoting process and again when we receive the
purchase order. The schedule and manpower requirements are reviewed weekly at the
Engineering Project Meetings. The on-time delivery, quality, Customer Satisfaction and
cost analysis of projects are reviewed at the monthly Management Review Meetings.
We depend on the skills of all of our employees to achieve these goals. They
understand that meeting customer needs is vital to our success and security.
Management is committed to providing our employees with the opportunities, training
and resources to meet all the commitments of Universal Machine & Engineering
Corporation and the customer.
Universal encourages and tracks employee development. The training and resources
are reviewed at the monthly Management Review Meetings.
Universal Machine & Engineering Corporation is committed to continual improvement
and the establishment and review of measurable objectives. We believe this is the
only way to meet the changing expectations of our customers and stay ahead of our
competition.
All employees have been trained in Universal's continual improvement program.
Everyone has the opportunity to complete a Continual Improvement Form that will bring
potential problems and suggestions to the attention of management. Measurable
objectives are reviewed monthly at the Management Review Meetings.
